When reading some of my other articles on this topic, you will find that I attach a great deal of importance to the ‘reasons’ for doing things, i.e. ‘why’. If you are not achieving the desired level of network marketing success, your ‘why’s are probably not good enough.  If that is the case, I’d like to suggest that you re-evaluate your mind-set and get your proverbial house in order.

Keep in mind that every game involves a ‘mind-set’ and a ‘skill-set’. Both are crucial if we want to win. But in marketing, as in basketball, tennis, rugby, golf and most other ball games, it is the mind-set that separates the good from the great.    

For everything we do, whether making a cup of coffee or creating a seven-figure income, there is a motivation, or a ‘motive’, for action. Upon closer analysis we can actually distinguish between two sub-classes of motivators, viz. those moving us away from pain or discomfort, and those moving us towards reward or pleasure. I don’t think we should dwell too much on the negatives, as these could act as inappropriate instructions to our subconscious minds if we overemphasize them. However, it is actually good to experience some revulsion and say “No more of this!”  So in the remainder of this article we will focus briefly on the negatives.

If you are not sure of what I mean by ‘negatives’, let me give you some examples:

-   Do you have no, or inadequate, free time?

-   Is your 401k (or equivalent) sufficient for retirement?

-   Is the Internal Revenue Service hot on your heels?

-   Do you live from paycheck to paycheck?

-   Is there a possibility you could be made redundant at work?

-   Do you have to forfeit time with family members and friends due to work commitments, or an inability to travel?

-   Do you hate commuting?

-   Are you sitting in a car for several hours every day?

-   Do you detest not being your own boss?

-   Does the pittance you receive as a wage fill you with resentment?

-   Is it years since you could last afford a decent vacation?

-   Do you have insufficient funds for pursuing expensive hobbies?

-   Are you disgusted with your tacky wardrobe?

-   When last could you afford a trip to the other side of the planet??

-   Can you afford all the medical services you require?

-   Can you afford the supplements/gym memberships etc to keep you in top shape?

-   If you, or your partner, are over 50 – can you afford some much needed makeovers?

I could entertain you for another five minutes, but I think you’ve got the idea. To summarize: if you are unable to do whatever you want, for as long as you want to, with whom you want to, where you want to, whenever you want to, then you are entitled to feel depressed. Society has played a very nasty trick on you by making you believe this is inevitable. That’s a big lie!

Network marketing is one solution to this dilemma, if you do it right. But if you really want network marketing success in a very short time, you must go for it flat-out, which means your motivators (your ‘why’) must be on steroids. Moving away from stuff you hate is one side of the coin. In my next article I will discuss the positive motivators. See you there!

Top 10 Reasons For Network Marketing Failure Don’t talk about your primary when you are social networking.  When you are starting a relationship it is important that you do not  talk about your company even though you want to.

Be an endorser of your product. Personal product stories are what you need and this comes by using it. Facts tell but stories sell.

Be consistent. Rome was not built in a day. It will take time to build your relationships online. You can not be here today and gone tomorrow. You need to be there every day and with fresh ideas and fresh content.

Do not wait. Take action right away. This can be a real killer in building your business. Remember that this is YOUR business and you must have good habits to get where you want to be. Make sure you do what you should do and do not waste time.

You are responsible not your upline. Take personal responsibility. This is YOUR business and no one else’s. In order to get ahead you have to do what you have to do.

Product knowledge. Competion knowledge You must know your product well enough to be able to talk about it. You will also get objections and knowing the competion will make you much better at responding.

G’s & O’s When goals are set they are often attained. This is pretty self explanatory. I believe it was Zig Ziggler that said “Aim for nothing and you will hit it every time” You must set goals.

Attend the conferences and meetings. You will be amazed at the change in yourself if you do this one thing.

Meeting with people in person is much different than talking on the phone. Internet Marketers need this. When you meet people and find out that they are normal you will realize that you can do exactly what they are doing.

Work on yourself. Take time each day for self improvement. There are many people that have attained that 10k+ per month level that we all

Don’t quite. If you hear nothing else in the article hear this. Quiting assures your failure. Don’t do what others have done. Make sure you do these 9 things and do not run out of money by planning. Be the exception not the rule. Business failure in this industry is 97%. Don’t be a 97%r, be a 3%r You want regret the fact that you are successfull. I asure you of this.
